This year, the MIDEM takes place from 24 to 27th of January, in Cannes.

WHAT IS IT?

For this new edition, the city of Cannes is once again enthusiastically welcoming the prestigious MIDEM, known as the “Marché International du Disque et de l’Édition Musicale”. Inaugurated in 1967, this event represents the world’s largest gathering of the music community, offering an unmissable platform for artists, record labels, publishers, streaming services, promoters, brands and many other players in the musical field.

MIDEM+ acts as a central forum for decision-makers driving the evolution of the music industry. It presents itself as a multifunctional space, combining discussion forum, market, and music festival, while acting as a catalyst for content intended to enlighten thought.

Within this dynamic environment, attendees have the opportunity to explore future business trends in the music industry, to network intensively throughout the day at the Agora, and to extend these exchanges into the night at the Terminal. MIDEM+ also positions itself as a platform dedicated to sharing knowledge, best practices and innovations, thus fostering collaborative synergy.

In addition to serving as a forum for discussion, MIDEM+ aims to be a space conducive to solving the most pressing challenges of the contemporary music industry. Participants are encouraged to come up with practical solutions by participating in collaborative brainstorming sessions, helping to shape the future of this dynamic industry.

This year, MIDEM+2024 will see several new talents perform on stage, to the delight of our ears! You will find in particular :

• The National Orchestra of Cannes on Wednesday 24 January 2024,
• Madame Monsieur and Clara Ysé on Friday 26 January 2024, 
• SOOLKING on Saturday 27 January 2024.

Several other artists will also be present, but we leave you the surprise of discovery!

MIDEM+ 2024 will also have the pleasure and privilege of hosting some of the biggest names in the music industry at several conferences: 

• Jeronimo Folgueira, CEO of DEEZER, world-renowned music streaming app,
• Sebastien Borget, co-creator of the SANDBOX platform, a decentralized application on the Metaverse, where the player can create, play and rule a world using NFTs.
• Per Sundin, CEO of POPHOUSE, a Swedish company that creates and acquires music, podcast and gaming entertainment brands.

This newly created MIDEM+ will be entirely designed in collaboration with music industry experts, with the aim that this event will be able to comprehensively embody all the key players in this field. This includes not only the artists themselves, but also producers, managers, record labels, as well as many other professionals who deserve to be highlighted.

WHERE TO STAY TO GO TO MIDEM®?
